Forthcoming Marriage Announcement.

Hi all,

Just thought you might like to know that JohnG is about to tie the knot, get spliced, make an honest woman ... etc. etc. (too late to make John an honest man!).

The "Auslander" paperwork finally made it through the system here (they are VERY fond of their paperwork in Germany!) on Friday (24th Oct.) and we are wasting no time and doing the deed on the 7th of Nov.

Not a moment too soon, after living together for more than 5 years! It always has taken me a long time to make up my mind, and similarly I'm a sucker for free samples! (Hope Susanne doesn't read this!)

Anyway there you go. I hope we're both well enough by then to enjoy the ceremony, a simple registry office do. No big bash, not young and starry eyed anymore, just older and very much in love.

JohnG, that was truly good news and my wife and I wish you and Susanne all the very best. May your wedded life be one of Love, Joy and Happiness and may you have a great life together..
Having wished you all that from the bottom of my heart may I dare to advise you on a few dos and donts. ?
If ever you get angry or upset with Susanne about anything, just dont say a word about it. Instead give the incident a thought, let it rest for a few minutes and you'll find that there was actually nothing to be upset about !! This has worked for my wife and me all these 37 years we've been married, so I thought I should share it with you.
Never ever carry a misunderstanding or irritation to the next day. Whatever be it, kiss and make up, even if its just a small peck on the cheek. You'll have a good night's sleep and a morning full of smiles !!
I do know you quite a bit now, JohnG and I know you are a bit overly impatient and sensitive and quick to feel upset, so be a "good little boy" and listen to elders like me and I assure you, you'll have a great tme with your beloved Susanne.

It ain't goin' to be a big bash. 2nd time for us both, more down to earth, even if starry eyed (after 5 years together ). A couple of people will bring cameras, my son included, but no white dress or morning suits. Jeans, T shirts and sandals. Oh, and a coat. Brrrr!

Just (I hope) a good picture of the misty eyed couple!

It shows a strong faith in human nature after being taken to the cleaners once already!
