Sadly on account of taking on too many commitments and just having a new baby we won't be taking our annual break until next year - when we will be spending a few days in London before going on the France and Germany for two weeks. But I was wondering where other members will be going on holidays? If you have already been away, where did you go and what was the craic like?

Hi Franky and welcome to the forum. Thanks for taking the time to post - we love everyone but especially those who contribute Congratulations for when the new baby arrives. Our latest, we have five now, was born last month. A little boy, and his name is Leo. I was only ever the once in Spain. We drove over the Pyrenees from France, stopping in Andorra on the way, but eventually arrived in Northern Spain where we spend a few hours before having to return to France. Beautiful place

The best Holiday I ever had was in the South of France, the Carcassonne/Narbonne region to be more exact. Just love that place, all those beautiful mountains and incredible nature trails makes it the ideal choice for nature lovers, even the more sedentary ones like me. Michelle and I are both fairly fluent French speakers - I learned the language when I lived in Paris for five years in the 80s, Michelle who is also from Co. Tipperary, picked it up very quickly in our early years together. Even our kids love the language!

Hey Jimmy G, when are you going to napa, I'm usually gigging there for month of Sept to mid October. Last year and this year will be in O'Rourkes before that I used to play in the Luke Kelly. Let's try to meet up when you're there. Paddy

Hi Guys It's Great reading about all your holidays. Hope Dingadong has lots of fun in Gran Canaria at The Randy Leprachaun, brill name for a pub, I'm sure your bound to meet at least one Midimart member. Don't forget the suncream, you want to look like a bronzed god and not a dried prune DDong when you come home. My partner runs a Travel Agency here in the UK, and is always getting asked for places to recommend abroad, like bars and restaurants, so I'll make sure anyone he sends to Playa Del Ingles pays a visit to the place for a jar or two!
