I was playing a little solo thing at a backyard BBQ recently and several people came up and asked me if I would play some of my favorite songs (what?) and oh, by the way, what WERE my favorite songs? So I sat down today and figured out my own personal Top 10, in no particular order. For the record, I currently perform* only six of them. My Top 10 Favorites:Time Won't Let Me - The Outsiders 96 Tears - ? & The Mysterians Fast As You - Dwight Yoakam* Stormy Monday Blues - Muddy Waters?* If The House Is Rocking - Stevie Ray Vaughan Still Got The Blues - Gary Moore In The Midnight Hour - Wilson Pickett* Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash* Pancho & Lefty - Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard* Call Me The Breeze - J J Cale* Now there are many, many more songs that I dearly love, but these would have to be on the iPod that washed up with me on a deserted island... How about you? And which of yours do YOU perform? DH in CR

Years ago I put together a list of my favourite songs and then decided to put them on a tape to listen to in the car, Unfortunately after a few playings I started to get fed up with them and they were no longer my favourites! Nowadays I don't have a list but if I did it would include artists as diverse as: The Beatles Elvis Presley Jeff Beck Led Zeppelin Early Eric Clapton Deep Purple The Who Sensational Alex Harvey Band(very underated band) Jimi HendrixThey are the ones that spring immediately to mind but there are a whole lot more that I can't think of at the moment, and it's to hard to stop at 10 Did you know that T.R.O.U.B.L.E was recorded by Elvis long before Travis Tritt?

I like listening to Travis Tritt myself I love that country rock sound. I would have to say I would have him on par with alot of the country greats. I love him doing the race is on with ~George Jones, If memory serves me right it was released on the Bradley Barn session. Elvis was a better actor than him though ;D
