Hi everyone, since using backing tracks I have had the opportunity to do some awesome gigs that I never thought I could. My trio played to a very high profile tennis star, his wife and their parents on a private island while they ate dinner. It was extremely daunting, not only because they are famous, but a crowd of six is far worse than 600. Ha ha ;D I would love to hear about the gigs others have done. Thanks, Kel

Hiya Kel Greetings from N.Ireland home of the cricket thumpers lol lol i`m tempted to say my best gig was my first but that would be cheating lol lol the best gig i`ve done since we started to use files would have to be 4 months ago.We have a venue here called the Waterfront Hall and it features a lot of the Big Names of the music industry and seats i think 2000 people it`s are third biggest venue here normally local bands don`t play it but a member of the band works for a comany called powerscreen and they were celebrating 40 years in business and we were asked to do the show we thought it would be 1 of the small rooms but it was the main auditorium and it was magic we just arrived at the gig and are instruments were carried in and set up for us by prof:roadies we were run through a 300,000 pound sound system and used 125,000 pounds of lighting it was superb on top of all this we had a pof:dvd taken of the show which we use when we are looking at new clubs There were over 1500 at the gig although for me the best part was the dressing room lol lol 42`plasma tv dvd player, fridge full of beer a dozen or so bottles of mixed wine plus a full buffet all in our dressing room it was magic the week after we played the hall me old mate Morrison was playing it and using my dressing room i`ve spoken with hin since and have had great fun telling him that just for once he followed me and not the other way round lol lol

Hi Weegeo, that is an awesome gig. I have a friend from Ireland who plays gigs around Europe, mainly in Germany I think. It is cool to be able to pull out the dvd's and photos of those times, and a good thing too or no-one would believe me! lol Love to hear more about your work. What kind of music do you play? Personally, I love motown and disco

Hi George, we do pretty much the same, 50's thru to current stuff. As I said my favourite is motown and disco and I am currently trying to put together a "DISCO FEVER" show that will be two hours of the greatest songs from many artists. I really like to dress up as well, we have had a couple of gigs like Friday the 13th, Saturday night fever. Mainly we play weddings and corporate events at hotels around Cairns and North Queensland, but now and then we do the local pubs/clubs which is cool too cause you get to play different kinds of music. And we sort of use the pub gigs as a bit of a practice ground when we have new songs to break in. Hope to hear more from you, cheers Kel
