To all you singers out there that suffer tired, hoarse voices here's a link to a throat spray that I've been using for a few years now. www.entertainers-secret.comSome of you have probably heard of/used it but I think it can help when struggling a bit with your voice. I have recently had a 3 month bout of laryngitis which has been a worry when singing is my only source of income. See how you go........just a thought.

I also use Vocalzones, but it's always good to see alternatives, especially at this time of year when there's a lot of coughs about.

I've never heard of vocalzones or entertainer's secret. I usually use strepsils or fisherman's friends.
I wouldn't mind trying these other products though.

Another good thing is Garlic. It keeps people away from you so you can't catch the flu !

I was told that some throat lozengers can have a numbing effect on your vocal chords. (And I'm not going to say anything about Pat and the Fishermans Friend, children may be reading )

Never heard of vocalzone but sound good. Where can I find them. Some throat lozenges do contain numbing agents which are no good for singers. Entertainers Secret contains only natural ingredients ( as natural as they can be in spray form). No numbing agents or alcohol etc.

You can get Vocalzones over the counter at the chemists. No numbing effect. Another good lozenger is the small triangle shaped vics or the little black nigerettes.

I used to use Vocalzone, but they are a bit on the strong side,I've more recently found Proctor's, can be bought over the counter at Chemists It said on the box - As used by Lords, Ladies, Principal Public Speakers, Singers and Members of Parliament for over a hundred years, so thought they would be just up my street Tried taking out my friend the fisherman Captain Birdseye, but the Club Sec requested could I please leave him at home in future, can't think why! Don't know if Vocalzone is available in Oz. Will ask at pharmacy. It sounds good for when throat is sore or tired but would still recommend Entertainers Secret for maintenance. Here's a link for Vocalzone. www.vocalzones.com/

Well now i`m amazed by all you good people using all sorts of meds lol i use a very old fashioned (and yet to let me down) remedy just good old cider vinegar and honey as a vocalist of probably very senior years i swear by this just 1/2 cup of cider vinegar (warm but not hot lol)and 2 dessert spoons of any good honey mix and swallow very quick results remember meds only mask a problem not cure it i have used this cure for over 30 years now with brilliant results hope this helps some of you good folk

I used to use vocalzones but then I noticed a warning regarding Asthma on the side of the box. Be Careful! A Pint of beer normally keeps my vocal chords in order.Failing this try eating a bag of crisps half an hour before you start. The salt causes your saliva glands to work keeping your tonsils moist and working to perfection. But What do I know! regards Mark
