Just bought a ketron sd2 module, very pleased with the sounds but i need to integrate it into my current midi setup, i use logic audio to compile midifiles and yam mdf2 to trigger various midi modules live, so i need to selectively turn off some of the sd2's channels....the manual(?) has a hex list for sysex stuff, but that doesnt seem to work...any ideas( no i'm not crushing it!!) ;D

Robbie, I suggest you join a yahoogroup called Solton. ( Solton & Ketron used to be a joint company, sort of.) There are a load of Ketron equipment users there and many of us use the SD2. You'll need to set up a yahoo account and you'll probably want to add the addy you use most often to your yahoo account or it will default to sending the messages to the yahoo address you create. Wen you join just mention my name in the comments section and I'll approve your membership immediately. launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/solton/I only use the SD2 so I have not tried turning channels off. The way I handle sending channels to different sound modules is by setting up port assignments in my sequencer. Port 1 for the SD2, port 2 for another module, etc, etc. The manual for the SD2 is a joke, as you have found out. It is NOT 32 channel capable as it claims to be, as it only has one physical MIDI port. Ketron is notorious for poorly written and poorly translated manuals. Ketron is also notorious for poor support and thus the Solton Yahoo group came about. Cat >^..^<

You won't get a reply from Ketron. Seems they are too busy developing their new arranger keyboard, called the Audia. Then again, it was practically impossible to get anything out of them before that.
I know of one exceptionally torqued off customer. He spent the big bucks on a MidJay Plus only to find it burdened with a krapload of bugs. They have not put out an OS update to fix them. So, of you go MidJay, stay away from the Plus!
