Hi Tiny ! As I know , the electronic drums kit have own sound module , always is in complete .You don't wrote if You'll get only "pads " with stands or the complete .So if You'll get complete , You need only cables to connect to PA system , but if only pads then is little problem , because then You have to find sound module or maybe PC cards which will pass to the pads .If it's sound module You'll have possibility to connect in two ways - stereo sound ( L & R ) or separately each instrument to another canal in mixer - bass drum , snare drum , cymbals etc... , in that situation is more expensive to use .I'm not understand what You mean from sequencer to audio , because from sequencer You can only send signal via midi cable to sound module and then from module ( if have many outs ) or only L & R to mixer - PA . best regards - Lucky

Hi Tiny, Most of the current crop of electronic kits come with an onboard sound-module so you just need to connect the audio out to your sound system (or headphones if you're being kind to the neighbours!). There are a few to choose from so maybe someone has more direct knowledge of what's best, I'm still using an 80s-vintage Octapad in my home studio. Are you sure you want your son to be a drummer? lol... just kidding! Cheers, Dave.

Oh, right Tiny, he's not a teenager anymore! I guess you (a) don't have much say in him playing drums at home, and (b) don't need to worry about YOUR neighbours... it's the poor old geezer who lives next-door to your son! The Alesis kit looks pretty good. Cheers mate, Dave.
