When importing a midi file into Cubase, I lose the original tempo variations of that midi. How do I tell Cubase to use the imported midi's tempo changes. I've done considerable searching on the net and there does not seem to be an easy way to do this. Am I missing something? Like a button that says import midi tempo to tempo track?
Fur Elise is the compositiom I'm working with, so tapping in the tempo changes is out of the question.
Thanks, Jerry

Found it! Stupid import settings! For anybody interested, the problem was an import setting under midi file in preferences. Uncheck Ignore Mastertrack Events on Merge
Now to hear Beethoven's Fur Elise on grunge guitar and bass, with the correct tempo changes!
