I use Cool Edit Pro now called Adobe Audition, does both the conversions to mentioned and a whole lot more.

Any programs I'm looking for I simply use Google. Type 'Freeware' then what you want the program to do and there will be choices galore. Some you need to purchase a registration code but many are totally free.
eg: freeware wav to mp3 converter or freeware midi to mp3 converter
It works for me.

Hey bigdawg...not an answer to your your question at all really but I thought it worth mentioning that converting a .wma to an .mp3 is never gonna sound great because your starting with a compressed file and then recompressing it so even if it says 128kbps it may be only eqaul in quality to 96kbps file or worse. I always try to start with a .wav first generation file. You could try www.tucows.com for freewares

Moonie is right, bigdawg. At the very least you'd want to convert the wma back to wave (ie; uncompress it) before you recompress into mp3. I don't quite see the point though, they're pretty comparable forms of compression, soundwise, at low values like 128kbps... it's hard to hear the difference on rock and pop music (especially for us old dudes!). In any event, there are plenty of freeware programs for audio conversions of all sorts, just search via google as described above. Let us know if you have any problems though, we're all happy to help.

I think Nero can perform this conversion as well.
