Hi there, When I download a midi file to a floppy disc and then load it into my keyboard Yamaha Psr3000 to transpose etc. Prot 1 appears and I can only save to onboard user storage, I cannot save to disc, is there a way around this as my on board storage is almost full

Hi there axill,They load into the user, the keyboard will not allow it to be loaded into the presets. I can go into the sound creator and I can see nothing on the file that looks as though it would be a problem

Did you check to see if the file is "read only"
Or maybe try a usb card reader for your pc to transfer from the card to a floppy

Hi Shezza, Just a suggestion, if you have Cakewalk or a similar programme could you do the transposition etc. using the PC rather than the keyboard? I have a Roland EM2000 and a Technics KN3000 but find it easier to tweak midi files using the computer. I hope I've understood the problem and am not stating the obvious. If you haven't got Cakewalk there are several programmes with free downloads available which will do the job.
Regards, Roger

I've been trying to figure out the problem for days by systematically removing certain things within the problem files. I only had partial success. Are you ready for this? The fix was to open the file in, of all programs, Band In A Box and then resave it! Who would have thought it! ( BTW, it wasn't me that figured it out!) I sure would like to know what changes BIAB is doing to those files! I hate it when a problem is solved but I don't know what solved it! Cat >^..^<
