The window Auto-Send Sysx which reads "This file contains System Exclusive data designed to be sent automatically to your Midi gear. Do you want to send it now? If unsure click cancel."
I've gone through files and deleted the events (except the notes of course!) in the events list but the Auto Send Sysx message still appears. Am I missing something? I'm using cakewalk pro audio 7.........

You need to delete the sysx banks, go to "View" , "sysx" and then select and delete each bank

Be careful about deleting things in the event list! You better know what they are or you may wind up deleteing some very important controllers. One I can think of right off the bat that would royally screw up a file would be CC100, CC 101 and CC6 (data entry) If you delete these you may find that all of your pitch bends are completely off. I've run into some files that start right off with these controllers. ( they extend the default pitch bend range from 2 semi tones up and down to up to 2 octaves up and down, Depending on the value entered for the data entry controller) Cat >^..^< Cat

Just a little tip that I use. I like to try to do a little work on midis myself, but if I'm unsure, I make a copy of the midi. That way if I do screw up, I've still got the original.
