I have just downloaded the 60's medley. I was wondering if anyone can advise me how to change the key of part of the file. The section I'm referring to is the Do Wah Diddy bit which is in F (around 3.04 minutes into the medley), I want to change the key of only that section to E. Can it be done without changing the key of the rest of the medley?

Well I figured it out myself! I highlighted the notes I wanted to change in the Piano Roll view and then clicked on the transpose button in procedures and bingo bango! do wah diddy is in E and the rest of the song unchanged ;D ;D Now I'm feeling very smug

Oooooo you cleaver boy.....
The whole track is no problem to change key, but yes just a part of a track can be very tedious sometimes.
Well done.

I concur Glenn
If a track or midi has been sequenced with a " live " feel, it may need to be quantized before altering the key mid song.
BTW Congrats John

I wouldn't quantize it to change the key. I would not want to sacrifice the 'human feel' for a quick fix. I would simply highlight the bars I needed transposed, then transpose it, then go through each track at the first and last bar and the last bar that I had highlighted and drag and drop the notes that the transpose function didn't catch. Sure, it takes a little longer but, it's well worth the extra time to maintain the 'feel' of the tune.
Also sometimes you cant just transpose a portion of a tune without writing a 2 to 4 bar turn around that leads into the new key. Been there done that with a medley than very little was in keys I could sing them in. Cat >^..^<
