I would like to get some feedback as to what software people are using for conversion of polyphonic audio files (wav, mp3, etc) to split track midi files, and opinions around functionality.
Cheers a.j.

To be honest with you on this one a.j. - Save Your Money.
There is not one piece of software that I have come across and I download many items as you well know. That re create anything like a bad midi file let alone a good one.
Maybe in the future, there will be such a program, but at present...... Resist.

Thanks for your honesty Glenn.
I knew I was going to get an answer at one end of the satisfaction spectrum or the other.
I have sampled a couple, and not found them up to much either - which is why I was wonderng if anyone had found anything worth looking at.

Glenn is absolutely right. If such a piece of software did exist it hasn't yet been made public. Like Glenn I have tried loads that promise miracles but they have all - without exception - failed miserably.
Who knows when something this revolutionary will genuinely become available but if you find one please let us know!
