Hi everyone ;D New to this site still finding my way around but would like to hear from any Cubase LE users to swap ideas etc. etc. I live in Cheshire UK, semi pro. producer, into Drum & Bass, Ambient, House. Home studio set-up and have been forced into the wonderful world of WAV file sequencing using Cubase LE and Tascam firewire interface My original set-up was 1040 Atari-Cubase V2.5, 2 glorious Akai S950's, Makie desk which I miss dearly . But I am now embracing this new technology LOL ;D If anyone is interested get in touch ceedcorp

Hi Creedcorp and welcome to the forum. I've heard only good things about Cu-base and tried to get my head around it's long learning curve, but failed miserably. Well done to you for getting the hang of it.

Hi ceedcorp - Welcome to the forum. I notice that your first system was the Atari. I had the Atari ST 1040. I always wondered what the two holes in the side was for, until a friend said you can connect a keyboard to it. So I did and wow, my keyboard played itself........ A bit hit and miss to start with but soon got the hang of it. What wonderful things those Atari's was, and what delight I got from it. Oh how nice to remember the good old days..... Thanks for bringing that great memory back.

Creedcorp,
My hat's off to you also! I too tried cu base and gave up early into it. Switched back to cakewalk and am so stubborn that I refuse to upgrade to Sonar. For what I use it for Pro Audio 9.0 works great and I'm used to it. Anyone out there want to try and give me a good sell on why I might want to upgrade?

Hi spike You can get a firewire interface on a very low budget, and most come with sequencer programs I got lucky the interface came with Cubase LE and Tascam Studio (the Tascam I don't use) I purchased mine from Sound Control in Salford ( Gtr Manchester ) for £135.00 ;D But look around you may get cheaper ie Loot, Ebay, Music mags. Having been a long time faithful user of Cubase and upgrading to PC I would strongly recommend investing/investigating a firewire set-up as the quality and reproduction are excellent great for original compositions , My beautiful Akai 950 is now obsolete ( poor thing ) due to new set up. Its great fun using WAV loops, and I don't have to dream of owning the latest equipment that costs a small fortune I'll just wait till it becomes available in soft wear form for buttons ;D I personally think midi may become a thing of the past pretty soon due to todays ever growing technology ( God I'm Boring : Could talk all nite on this subject zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Anyway I hope my reply helps your good self Good Luck And may the force be with you ceedcorpOh nearly forgot this weeks Lotto winning numbers are "&&& @@+ ?<<.>>>****
