I downloaded a file for backing track but when i transfer to(yamaha) keyboard the drum track is gone. My files are being changed to windows media player file (in the yamaha keyboard music downloader software) before they go to keyboard. does this make any sense?

Hi funny,
You don't actually say which file you have downloaded (presumably from our site). It could be a problem with the files itself.
We do get glitches now and again and if it is the file that is at fault. We can repair it.
We have always had good experiences with Yamaha and have never known to put it through any keyboard down loader software, have you tried putting just the raw midi file trough your Yamaha without putting it through any down loader software.
All midi file players or keyboards will play the raw midi files providing it has the logo GS or GM or XG or GM2.

I have checked the file in all midi file players with no problems -
Best of luck.
