Hi Jay Jay.
I have never tried this way of recording vocals before (can't sing), and I don't actually know how this is done.
But for the most, I know they lay their vocals over the top of a midi or mp3 track whilst recording live. Then save into .mp3, .wav or .wma and burn this (Through w.m.p.) to CD.
No doubt, someone will advise.

Jay Jay,
I'm not skilled on cubase, I use cakewalk, but I think what your tring to do you need a recording proggie like soundforge to record to your hd that will allow you to save into MP3 format. Cakewalk doesn't allow the save that way, it does allow you to put mp3 tracks into the midi but there is no option to actually save as an mp3. I have to believe cubase doesn't either.
Hope that helps
Roger

Hi Jay Jay Dead dead easy to do this function DONT USE EXPORT it only saves individual tracks into your file - you have to BUS down your tracks in Cubase first Here's how to do it 1. load song from your file that you want to burn to CD ( THIS MUST BE FULL ARRANGEMENT NOT 5 BAR LOOPED TRACKS ) 2. Assign left & right cursors to start & end of song Make sure all tracks un-muted 3. Go to file directory and pull down menu, you should see Audio mix down in file listings click on this and it will take you to sub menu, This menu is pre-set for Audio Bus Mix down. Name the track & click Save 4. Once you have hit the save icon the main SX page will appear and will record all tracks into Audio Bus automatically PLEASE NOTE SX will only Bus audio files not midi notes 5. Once saved burn CD in you normal fashion. Nero Burn I find is best burning program I would recommend it. Or you can do what I do to check the mix-down i.e. levels, compressors etc. etc. This is a great method for checking your mix as you can import your Bus track back into SX which means you can run your Audio mix down with the original arrangement GREAT for final production Hope this info was of use Good Luck Peace
