Hi there, My freind who owns a Korg N365 and made a midi file. He made all tones in GM tones and converted in SMF file. It is perfectly working in it. But when I triid that midi to work in my Yamaha PSR 2000, it was not working, only the track 10(drums) is working and rest of tracks are blinking, but no sound. How can anybody help me. I've got cubace sx software, which I usually work on. Can I DO SOMETHING ON IT AND MAKE IT WORK IN MY psr2000. R

The only thing I can think of, without seeing the file is that all tracks apart from track 10 (drums) have been muted. Check the volumes are set right and the velocity is adequate. Have a look in Cubase and check that all channels are set to play. Apart from this, is your psr2000 set to play multitimberal as I know on this one, multitimberal can be turned off. It could also be that the file has been saved as midi file1 or midi file 0. Try saving the file in both and see if one of them play..... If you can't repair it, send it to me and I'll have a look for you - Send it to - MidiMart.net and please use Alteration as the subject. Best of luck.

Ok Laju, I got your file and sent it back to your personnel email.
Hopefully you should be able to play it now.
All it was is it was in the wrong format.
Have fun & let me know how you get on.
