Hard Drives

Hi Everybody,
Has anyone had problems fitting a hard drive into a Yamaha Tyros 1 keyboard. This is the second drive I have fitted and the same thing has happened as the first drive. After a short time when I access the hard drive the whole keyboard locks up. I have to switch off the keyboard and then on again but still find it locking up when I access the hard drive. And to add to the problem the floppy drive sometimes locks up as well.
I phoned the Yamaha Technical Support and they think it might be a power conflict. The power is surging to the hard drive or the floppy drive.
I would indeed be grateful if someone out there has had this problem and solved it or can give me some suggestions.
The hard drives I have installed are 10GB and 20GB Hitachi Travelstars and of course been formatted on the keyboard.

Hi Bob,
I would recommend asking your Tyros questions on a Tyros forum. There are some amazingly knowledgeable & helpful people out there. Now, which forum to go to? That I can't help you with too much, but Yahoo groups a lot of times will have some great groups. I'm also sure there are a lot of message board type forums dedicated to the Tyros out there as well.

Iwill take up your suggestion. In fact I'm seriously thinking in buying the new Tyros 2. I hope I don't encounter the same problem!
