Hi Everyone
Do you have any idea about this song "Never on a Sunday " ? Which movie did it figure in ? Who sang it originally ?
I lways had the feeling it was sung by a girl of "questionable character" The lyrics suggest so !!! Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Shyam if ole Simmo's poor old jaded memory serves him right Never on a sunday was performed by no other than Connie Francis in about 1960, i can remember listening to her & drooling because lets face it she was in our eyes some "really sexy lookin chick" with a voice that was like honey,of course our other favourites walking back to happiness,stupie cupie,my happiness were also up there as well,i think i seem to remember never on a sunday was performed earlier by a Greek group i think they used to sing it in the own language i know it had that traditional Greek sound i just cant think of the dance's name but they all seem to do it at Greek weddings etc, thats the best i can do for you Shyam best wishes to you old friend,Simmo throwing plates to the floor trying to remenber the name of the Greek dance ;D ;D

You're right Simmo, it was Connie Francis, the heart throb of our days.........OOOOOMPH !!!
I used to play at a restaurant in Cochin, a Harbour Town in the South of India and we used to get the Greek Shippies coming in . They were real nice people and I remember their last night before sailing out - they used to fling the plates and dance on them, even as they broke into smaller bits.. "Zorba the Greek" just had to be played, and we had the occassional Greek coming in with his Bazooki.
I kinda remember them calling " Never on a Sunday " as " Boy from Peros "
