Roland XV2020 and Digital Performer (mac)

Hi all,
I bought the Roland XV2020 expander which adds several additional sounds and facilities to this small but great module.
I use Digital Performer on a Mac but although I can use the additional sounds selecting them manually I am unable to do so though DP itself and my MAC MIDI-SOUND app does not recognize the instrument either (with or without expander).
Any hints highly welcome

Hello danwan,

I'm on DP also, and will send you the file you need to make it work for the XV-2020.
Below are the step by step for you to follow and are all the folders for you to open:

Open "Harddrive", -> "Library", ->"Audio", ->"MIDI Devices", "MOTU", "Roland".

Drag the file XV-2020.midnam into the "Roland" folder.


Then start Digital Performer and go to the "Setup" menu -> Audio Midi Setup, click the "Midi Devices" tab, ->"Add Device" then double-click it, select "Manufacturer" -> "Roland".
Select "Model" from the drop-down menu and select XV-2020. "Apply Changes" and close "Audio Midi Setup" window and you're good to go.

If you click on my username, it'll give you my e-mail address. Sent me a message that way I'll be able to sent you the Patch file. I believe there is a way to do it here, but I'm not familiar how.
