Hello. I was hoping that someone might help me with a problem, which is,despite reading the guide and pro tools the complete guide by Mike Collins, and asking the pro tools advice line.....I still can't work out how to sync my korg Pa1x(or any other midi source)to pro tools,so that they both run on the same midi clock.I use pro tools M powered on a dell pc, with a delta 1010 lt interface. This isn't too surprising as,despite trying to get the hang of computers/midi/pro tools .In fact anything technical,I've realised that i'm rubbish at all these things! (I am however a really good guitarist,so i've been told! and I do come up with some pretty good tunes) The problem is recording them!So....Can anyone help? What I really need is some one on one tuition,or someone to collaborate with in the recording/technical side of things.I live in S.Wales Nr Carmarthen. It would be expecting a lot to find "the right person "nearby, but there's no harm in trying! But if anyone can help over the forum or recommend a good book (preferably about how to use pro tools), i'd be well pleased. Mark.

I am pretty sure you need to turn off or disable the other midi clocks.

Markallan, My suggestion is to join a protools forum or mail group. There may be one or more on yahoo groups, or google groups, but I have not looked.
It's much better to seek help from those who are proficient in the program you are using, so they can give step-by-step instructions, or ask the right questions of you.
This is why I joined a Cubase yahoo group. Those folks have saved my butt any number of times.

Agree with JazzCat, ProTools is not within my area of expertise I'm afraid. JohnG.
