i want to repan 1 drum inst from far right back to centre i have split the drum tracks but when i go to pan it all the other tracks pan aswell so in the end i have the one i want in the middle but the rest move to far left any ideas how to alter it so it just pans the one track im using sspro and power tracks pro audio 12

Levi, If you want independent panning you need to put the drum on a separate midi channel ie: Channel 11 usually allows selection of a second drum kit on most modules. If you have it on the default channel 10 then any changes will effect all drums. Cheers, Dave.

Hi Levi, I'm not familiar with the software you are using. If you are sending your midi file to a sound generator, place these control changes at the begining of the measure in the drum track as follow: CC#99=28 CC#98= drum note #, ie: 40= snare CC#6=1=L_0=Random_127=Right

Sorry I've been a bit distracted from the general techie questions. If you still have problems I can do the edit for you if you know whereabouts you want to place it.
Remember the drum set is normally already panned to both left and right of centre a bit by the sound module maker. But it is possible to pan individual instruments. JohnG.
