I just bought the johnny Cash Tuck and roll Kustom p A System. Its a remake of the old sound system that he traveled with in the 1960's. It has the dual 15 inch speaker cabinets, the power mixer unit is digital and actually sounds better than the solid state units of the 60's and 70's.
It was interesting that kustom authorized 100 of these packages to be manufactured and sold. i think there were 3 left in stock when i purchased mine.
On the day it was delivered the truck driver from Roadway freight lines was so facinated that he actually stayed around for a while and helped me to unpack the P. A. system. To me, it was like stepping back in time to open those card board boxes and think about how long it had been since i was in a group that owned one of the old kustoms.
Just took it on my first gig. i couldn't believe how folks admired the new equipment and the nice compliments i received from everyone. i feel as if I am in the best of both worlds for i miss the mussic of the past but enjoy the digital wonders of now.
