Here in the States, there are several online booking agencies. The two most prominent agencies I know of are Gig Masters and Gig Salad. Basically, you set up an account and profile that can be viewd by prospective customers and wait for the phone to start ringing. A lot of the bands I see on line appear to have good success in getting bookings this way. Are there online booking agencies where you are? And, have you had any success in getting bookings through them? Since the economy here in the US is so stagnant, a lot of the venues that used to support live entertainment have resorted to DJ's or nothing at all. I have thought about signing up with one of the online booking agencies just to find some work, but I wanted to get some feedback from you guys to see if it's worth doing. What's your take on these type of agencies?
