Hi all,
As I said on the other thread, I wonder if we could have a call for a limit on the size of pictures please? I'm all for posting the occasional piccy but when they're too large they totally mess up reading the last posts or the thread they're posted too.
Would it be possible to set a limit so that they don't go beyond the edge of the screen? 640x480 would seem to be a reasonable size to me. Then a link to the full sized piccy if necessary.
Anyone with me on this?
I'm quite happy to do the editing for anyone who wants it at my usual e-mail address.
In hope, JohnG.

Hi JohnG, I know this is a reaction to my posting a large pic for thingyy, but as I said, in that post, that was just a oversight by a novice. In the Technical Section Pat has already given guidelines and I think thats sufficient advice on how to upload pictures. Sometimes, you need to forgive the insanity of an amateur ......... dont rub in the shame of being less knowlegeable - please

Hey Shyam no probs here we all make mistakes and we learn by our mistakes thats how we get better at doing things and heres a tip once you have resized your piccy save it in different formats ie jpg tif etc and see which one compresses better without loss of quality. By the way Nice pic of the kitten lol

Yes, sorry, I didn't mean to start WWIII. So sorry if my complaint offended, it certainly wasn't meant as a rebuke. And thanks so much for altering it. Phew, that's SO much better. ;D From a very grumpy and rather under the weather JG. Back to bed with some Paracetamol I think! JohnG.
