Les on the left Dave (brother) on right. Photo taken by a friend in another music loving friends boardroom where he has an instrument display. Both holding Morrison Digital trumpets, played via Yamaha VL70 synths with Bose L1 MKII sound system. Cheers Les and Dave ;D

Great photo. I started on the trumpet many years ago. Never seen a digital one, does it play like a normal trumpet?

Its been a long time since I played a trumpet. I know that Yamaha has some great trumpet sounds. I'm thinking about a double high C note, that would be awesome.
Thanks

It plays like any keyboard but via trumpet style valves using a Yamaha VL70 re - chipped with Patchman Turbo chip. It beats having to learn Cello , I just switch to it. Lets face, it this is brass players fighting back. No one moaned when pianos went electric. Cheers..Les

This has 10 Octaves,,,now that is awesome. I must admit I was a scream trumpet player. I often hit G above super C. How do you tell were the scream trumpet player sits....just look for the chair with the buckled legs. Cheers

Do you have to tongue the mouthpiece and have breath control as with a brass instrument or is it just a matter of pressing the valves? This is fascinating.

You can single tongue, double tongue and triple tongue and use breathe control just like a trumpet. You do not have to buzz your lips as with real trumpet. The sound is produced by the synth. Even the vibrato has to be produced by a trigger in the thumb hole at the rear. have a look at www.morrisondigitaltrumpet.com. Theres some great demos there. This trumpet has relit my enthusiasm for music again........Cheers....Les
