OK Guys, I've decided - I am getting the YAMAHA MG 16/6 FX and it should reach me by this Monday. Its costing me about 28000 INR (300 Pound sterling) . Everyone seems to have a good opinion about it, so I'll just stick to this. Wish me luck, guys and tell me I made the right decision!! Thanks for all the inputs - I really appreciate it.

Me again Shyam, sorry to see that you have had to bite the bullet and go for new gear, but as you can see there was a wealth of input/info from the guys as usual and I really think you have been let down badly by the Technicians in your area and I agree that a good TV /Audio Engineer should be able to repair your faulty unit with or without his 'freezer spray'. Incidentally I did notice that Thoman were doing the Mackie cfx12 mk2 for 369 euros /£289 but if you have sussed out the Yamaha specs are what you need then I'm happy you 've resolved your predicament Regards Bigmike

Good luck with that one Shyam.
The Yamaha units are supposed to be good and reliable. You might want to shell out for a spare power supply for it. Just a thought. Meanwhile try to get the Behringer repaired. It's always a good idea to have a spare in stock for emergencies.

Yes Guys, I'll be getting the Yamaha MG 16/6 FX on Monday, but have decided to hold on to the Behringer and get it repaired .This time my brother and I are going to give it a go. He has used the Freeze Spray before and knows about it, but he says he's going to use freon gas in the place of Freeze spray (says it does the same work) We'll trace the culprit capacitor/condensor and fix it. I dont have much to lose but a LOT to gain. Whatever, I'm keeping the Behringer too. Thanks once again for all the important info.
