Pink Floyd Founding Member and Keyboardist Richard wright Passed away at his home Yesterday after a short battle with cancer. Floyd has been one of my favorite bands since 1977 and He will truly be missed. Rip Rick. How we wish you were here.  |

I heard this on the news just this morning,how sad he was such a talent and influenced a generation with his sounds. He will be very sadly missed indeed.

Sad, sad news indeed ... Pink Floyd are my all time favourite band and always will be for me ... I never tire of listening to so many of their songs. Rick was a self-taught musician whose keyboard and arranging skills formed a major contribution both in the studio and live performances but I always appreciated his vocal contribution also. His solo albums remain a firm favourite with me as well. My thoughts go out to his family at this time. R.I.P. Rick ... maybe catch you later at that Great Gig In The Sky ...
