Hi Everyone.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I got the impression that Tom Jones went away from Great Britain to make his home in the U.S. because he wanted to escape the intolerable taxes levied on his income, at that time. Yes he made it big in the U.S. and still is BIG, but I didnt realize he was knighted and is now Sir Tom Jones !! How come

? Pardoned for the desertion and disloyalty ? Sounds strange to me.
Whatever, I'm still his most ardent fan but I would have admired him more if he was more loyal to his motherland.!!

Hi there Shyam old friend in the words of a Neil Diamond song `money talks `he was knighted for his services to music,now call me old fashioned if you like but i have always thought that `knighting`singers was a bit hmmmmm cheesey[oops there goes my knighthood lol]
