Ok nobody laugh i`m having trouble sending a zip file,it says it`s sent from my end but the other person hasn`t received it!! any help anybody and no funny cracks

Maybe a digit out in the address your sending to ...........can happen so easy...........better zip it now or else ;D

Maybe the recipient has an attachment block ?

I assume you have corresponded with the person, and they have said, it never arrived. If so, it may be sitting in queue for some reason, and you may get a bounce message in a couple days.

(a geek told me the following a couple years ago, so if I'm off base it means I really misunderstood the concept.)
Their server may reject it because it is too big. Most email providers allow for 10 meg file attachments. The problem is, when email programs code stuff for sending it expands the size of what you are sending, Apparently they can expand it a lot, so a 6.6 meg file winds up expanding to 10.

Cat you may have hit it on the head,i knew you would have the answer lol the file zipped is 6.6meg so if it`s doubled then it will be 13.2, i`ll resize it Thanx a million btw it`s a bunch of files i`m clearing out si if anyone is interested in them just say and if i can sort the posting out you are welcome to them,i understand that a lot of them are copyrighted as i bought them before becoming a member here. If i can`t get the email to work [i`m an absolute clux ]i will put them on to a cd and post them to you

I sent you a private message on where to upload the file, rather than e-mail. That way you can give the URL out to people and it wont blow up anyone's e-mail inbox.

I never get rid of files, especially ones I bought LOL. Ya never know when some doofus might request the tune you just dumped. LOL

I dunno if I'm so smart. I can't remember the name the geek gave me for the type of coding e-mail programs use. And, I'm not even sure if I have the expansion part quite right. Anyway, he told me to keep a file below 6 and 1/2 meg when I e-mail it and that should be fine. A geek tells me something, I listen and remember the part I need to know for daily use LOL.

weego do you know what email client your m8 is using if its outlook express theres a option box to tick as not to recieve any attachments and deletes them just uncheck it

Not sure Levi old friend i was sending them to our Jacqui lol i think the awesome,cute,delicious and probably very rich cat has come up with the perfect solution[as always lol]i`m going to post them on a file share site and give the url to anyone thats wants them Thanx for your help everybody when i have these files up i`ll give the url to anyone that wants it btw when i say i`m dumping them i`m just clearing out my hard drive i have them all backed up to cd [not that stupid lol lol]

You don't need to send log in details. If you give your password out anyone can access, add and delete your files. You don't want that. You just give them the URL supplied under the file itself. This is the direct URL to the file you uploaded:

Thanks weego for letting us have access to all these files. I just downloaded the folder and found many great files at once. Can´t wait to go through them all. It´ll take a while.
