Software for melody line?

Hi All, I hope this is the correct section for this request.
As a sax/flute player sometimes I need to play the melody line, What I normally do is single finger my way around a keyboard to find the notes that I require.
Does anyone know of some software that would play a midifile and show/print the individual notes that I require,This would save an awful lot of time.
I know that BIAB does this to a certain extent but I require just the single melody note................Pete.

Not sure if this is what you mean ~midi notate`brings up the music score in a printable form,if this is what you are after it`s on our free download part of the main menu i would use it quite a bit hope this helps

I think all versions of cakewalk allow you to view the notes of any midi track and print it out
