"] "]Hello friends; I have enjoyed looking through the site and the midi files I have collected from here are great. I just turned 54 and enjoying music more than ever these days. I started out young with piano lessons, went on and played trumpet in the high school band. Well, I have been a bass player since I was 14. Out of all of the bands I have played in, it seems that I favor the older country music up to the 80's. The Yamaha midi keyboards are my favorite because of the mellow sounds. To me, all types of music are great. I enjoy playing a variety of songs to my friends with my 'One man band." My keyboards along with the first electric bass, An old 1964 Fender precision. I live in South Alabama, USA. and friends know me as The Cherokee Music-man. Here on the gulf coast we are having lots of fun. The kids are all grown up and my wife is my #1 fan. She listens to my music 7 days a week and she's still here so I must be doing something right. So thanks to everyone for giving me a chance to say hello, I hope that there will be something I can do to contribute to the other musicians and artists.of the midi mart forum.

Thank You so much for the welcome, and the kind words, for I will enjoy being aboard. I have uploaded 2 midis. My favorite one of those is called, 'The Fat Man Boogie." It was recorded by Fats Domino. Since I recently weighed in at 200 pounds, I said, 'Hey, now I have earned the right to sing and play The Fat man Boogie." Well, any way, thanks again for the welcome.

Hi Musicman97,
Welcome to the forum!
I don't see a link to the Fat Man Boogie or the other one. Where did you upload them to? I'd like to hear 'em. Thanks, JazzCat >^..^<

The first song, "The Fat Man Boogie was put on the new midi files under July 22nd. The Second song, 'I Still Miss Someone,' This was recorded by Johnny Cash in 1964. and the midi file was placed under the first August new midi files on this site. Here is a link to the Fats Domino audio recording of The Fat man, for I didn't add a melody to the midi file. Its just one of those songs that makes me want to snap my fingers. here is the link, I hope it works. www.last.fm/music/Fats+Domino/+videos/+1-sxniajegyJk

Hello Rainbow, I sometimes think that I have it all under control and know a lot and then, I meet other folks who can help. I started working with midi back in 1997 when my friends suggested that i get rid of the analog tape machines and go digital. I still enjoy the old tube type bass amp that I kept. But I have met so many good folks here on the forum and it really is a good place to be. I think I have found a home.
Many Thanks, Music-man

Thank You. I'm here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, I can really understand why Cruzin Thru Life and Coastal Virginia is cool. Its kind of like when Jimmy Buffet sings about Margarettaville. Thanks for the welcome,
Cheers
