It really was a sad day, today for Bangalore with a series of Bomb blasts - 9 of them, around the hub of the city. Fortunately, they werent high intensity bombs. One lady died and quite a few were injured, Bangalore has been a very peaceful city and this is the first time that such a series of blasts have taken place here. The terrorists have shown their evil face here and we hope the Law will find them soon and give them the punishment they deserve. It is, indeed, sad that such evil exists amongst us humans and even more sad that they get away .

Shyam,
So sorry to hear about this. I do so hope that none of your family or friends were caught up in this mindless stupidity?
When the underground blasts happened in London a couple of years ago I sat until lunchtime waiting to hear from my daughter who uses one of the underground lines. I kept trying to contact her via her mobile without success. Finally she called me at around midday, the networks in London had been rather jammed as you can imagine. I've never been more happy to hear from her.
Not a pleasant way to spend one's birthday! 7/7.
My thoughts are with the people in Bangalore. JohnG.

I too sympathise with you Shyam on these mindless atrocities...and i echo my learned friends George and John's words.
Its the most cowardly act anyone can inflict on a fellow human.

What happened in Bangalore was sad but the series of bombs in our Western State of Gujrat, at Ahmedabad is terrible. Nearly 30 people have died and many injured. My heart goes out to orphaned families and when I think of such mindless killings of innocent people around the world, my blood boils and terrible thoughts come into my mind. It is indeed sad that religion which was made to bring order to our lives, has today divided our precious world and created hatred and strife. I hate this empty feeling of helplessness and I hate myself for feeling that way.
