Hi all my name is mark and i`ve just joined this site recently. First thins first,i`m relieved that everyone seems so friendly on here!!! I`ve been playing music for a while now and love the tracks i`m hearing on here, but, does anyone know where i can get a free download (or pay for) a copy of Musicator(old version with the boxes on the playline!) I used it for a while but the hard drive crashed and i can`t find my disc. Please help, but if thats not possible does anyone know of an equivelent programme to eliminate instruments and change their sound(through a sound canvas. thanks in anticipation all. Keep up the good work,i`ll be a member for a while me thinks ;D

G'day Mark - yet another cooee from DownUnder. Can I suggest that you start a new thread (possibly under General Midis) -> better chance at getting a response to your query regarding Musicator (unfortunately, I don't know the program ). Have you checked out the Links & Music Utilities - Programes section as yet? regards Warren btw - Welcome to the extended family

Hi Mark, Any sequencing program will do what you want. I believe I know what you mean by "boxes on the play line" I believe you mean a program that shows the bars of music in the track view as little squares or rectangles. The program I use most shows the track view in that manner. MCat6 from Musicator doesn't seem too difficult to use. You just need to get used to a slightly different way the data is displayed in the track view. It looks a bit pricey though at 299 €. The program I use is Voyetra Record Producer MIDI ( NOT standard!) the downloadable version is only $19.95. www.turtlebeach.com/products/record-producer-midi/home.aspxwww.musicator.net/index.html

Yep, Master Tracks Pro shows the midi info as boxes on a time-line too.
