tiny how do you mean about the optical leads can u explain a bit more spdif stands for Sony Philips Digital Interface i have minidisk with spdif this is a optical connection (digital) also my pc soundcard has it the cable is very thin like you get on new headphones basically you plug one end in to the optical out ie pc then to optical in to minidisk then record this will record in digital if you unplug the cable from the digital in you will see a small red light going thru the optic like all cables some have different connectors on the end i have one which is like a very small square then i got one that looks like a 3.5mm jack plug plus a universal one you just flip the end round to connector you need. if you got a hifi with digital out and linked it up to a minidisk recorder to record a full cd you just click record and when the cd plays a new track the minidisk changes to a new track automatic which is quite good dosnt quite work the same with pc to minidisc u gotta tweak things you can also i thinkget coaxil connectors on sytems which carry the digital signal my tascam usb does digital but i gotta buy a analog to digital converter and vise versa from maplins or look here www.cabling4less.co.uk/Optical_Digital_Audio.php?referrer=google&gclid=CL6ggr71vpMCFQ2qQwodkGCPCA

Hi tiny are you just gonna record guitar to minidisk without backing if you are why dont you use it direct to ie the vox to md or will you need a pre amp if you gonna record playing guitar to backing why not use the spdif out from vox to ya snd blaster and record to pc ie via mixcraft when happy with result mixdown to wav then record spdif out fron snd blaster to md or am i going in the wrong direction the small bulbs u on about is where the optic light goes thru also am i right in thinking that the snd blaster has spdif in /out
