The great country singer passed away 8th May age 89 He had an amazing record of 28 singles topping the country charts between 1945 thru to 1983 he is seen as the most prolific country artist of all time.I`m sure we have all sang an Eddy Arnold song or 2 in our time

What a shock to hear about the passing of Eddy Arnold. Indeed he was a real star in the world of country Music, having bridged the years from the 40's right through to the Nashville Sound of the 80's. I remember seeing him in concert in Partick, Glasgow in a cinema probably around the late 70's and he was a real smooth performer, and a real nice guy.
