::)hi if any of you have a soundblaster card:audigy,x-fi,or any of the later cards.and you want to use a large soundfont over 100mb which is the max that win xp will allow.then put synthfont into google and on the synthfont soundfont banks there is one which is 175mb in size,included in the download is a toolbox which will unlock the cache size in your registry.i have just done it and it works a treat.i will try to get a web site to host it and post the link here for it.anyone know of a good free one? oldsage

Hi oldsage,
If you edit your Registry with the settings that follow, you should have no problem loading up to a 384 MByte SoundFont if you have sufficient system memory.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\Paged Pool Size
The default value is 0x00000000, set the value to 0xffffffff
As to a free site, you may want to check out geocities.com.

thanks foothillssound i,ll try that next time,but this little prog does it for me.i tried updating the registry once before,but it would not let me change the settings.i just recently got a free site with 4 shared.so i can start to upload different programs,and soundfont banks with others.oldsage
