Just wondering if anyone has eve found a way of Printing the contents of a Minidisc into something like word, I'm able to open a Minidisc in Sonic Stage Software and edit titles, move tracks, or download them to Minidisc, but I would like to be able to print out the contents of what's on the disc, has anyone ever found anything to do that? I'm curious as to how you connect your minidisc player to your computer, to do the editing that you do already.

Ah, that explains it. I have two Sony MDS JE330's. They have optical input, but not a PC link. Thanks for that, after my reply to Jacqui's post, I dug out the manual & was scouring it to see how I could connect to PC.

Hi Guys It seems like I have newer versions of Mini Disc Players than you mention, my two are MDS-JE780, they have USB, Digital in and Out, Coaxial, Analogue In & Out, and also a Teas Made on the site for a Cuppa! . I ended up with these not by choice, just because my older models all went to the Heaven for MiniDisc players. They are pretty versatile, but I just wondered if anyone knew about this printing thing, I've heard it's possible, just can't find out how to do it. Jacqui

They are the full size ones, when I got them, they were not available anywhere except one company I found on the net, but I sent them an email today, and they are now discontinued, it had to happen, I don't think you can get them anywhere now, unless a private sale on ebay. I know you can still get the full size JE 480 model new, but it has limited features and no Auto Pause, but as a spare player if you existing one packs up, it probably worth investing in, about £100. Anyone who relys on a mini Disc player will eventually have to resort to some other typle of player, maybe a laptop, or MP3 player, as I think Minidisc will become extinct. Jacqui

You're probably right about minidisk becoming extinct in the future but meanwhile Tascam does a semipro job or two. Try Studiospares www.studiospares.com and search for minidisk. Don't know what they're like but after sales service is said to be good according to Studiospares. NB Jacqui also a source of loudspeaker units and various bits and bobs. JohnG. PS I see that Amazon still sells a Sony device the MDS-JE480B with a computer link.
