I was wondering if any of the Australian members in Sydney are having the same problem as me.
For the past week I have been trying to log onto Paypal to pay for a purchase from Ebay. Each time I try to open the page I get the message:
The connection has timed out

The server at paypal.com is taking too long to respond.

I've tried using the laptop in case it was a problem with my PC but still no go.
Tried both Internet Explorer & Firefox.

I was up on the Central Coast on the weekend (approx 100 kms from Syd) and tried to log on to Paypal, no problems, come back to Sydney, same old problem.

Has any others from the Sydney area had this problem, or could you as a favour try logging onto www.paypal.com and let me know how you get on???

I can log in with no probs from lovely, chilly, must-be-winter Sydney.

I think it may be a problem with my ISP, Bigpond!

UPDATE:
The problem lies with Paypal itself blocking IP address's starting with 58.
