It was forty years ago yesterday that the legend that is Hendrix played in the Whitla Hall in Belfast. I remember that the tickets were like gold dust and if you didn`t have 1 you had to join the queue sitting on the little wall outside the hall,this was his only appearance in Ireland at that time and it was an amazing gig There`s a story that a promoter in a little seaside town her [portstewart]had booked Hendrix for 275:00 and he thought this was a bargain but he cancelled when he discovered that to bring the whole band over was a further 1,000:00 pounds he thought he was being done lol lol Anyone else at this gig ??
