The most memorable concert that I recall was when I was in London in the early seventies and we went to the Olympia Kensington just down the road from our pad.The Move were the top act and they had just had a number one with 'Brontasaurus' and they played a fantastic version of their follow up record called 'When Alice gets back to the Farm' with some great slide guitar from new member Jeff Lynne.Unfortunately when the record was released the guitars were replaced by lots of strings etc totally killing a potentially cracking song ,not surprisingly the record failed to chart. The 'support ' act was the brilliant and innovative The Pretty Things with the inimitable vocals of the one and only Phil May .Their hit single 'Rosalyn' back in the mid sixties was the first ever record that I bought and they remain one of my favourite bands to this day and I know they are still out there gigging and recording.Try and listen to the triple cd that is available in most High Street shops ,it certainly revives memories of the late sixties /early seventies, flower power ,heavy rock era Ah the memories I'm going for a lie down now regards Bigmike

Is that the same venue that had Hendricks and Traffic and went for 24 hours. I also use to frequent the Marquee and Roundhouse on a Sunday. Woburn Abbey Flower Festival and also one at Bath where it rained and the Byrds player accoustic.

A small trivia note regarding Blackberry Way, Roy Wood wrote it after hearing Penny Lane by the Beatles and he fell in love with the structure of the song, so he purposely set out to create a similar song. God I must get out more Regards Bigmike

I read in Classic Rock that Bev Bevan is touring under the name "The Move" Roy Wood is not involved.
