Guys, my wife and I will be at Melbourne from April 2nd to the 27th of May, 08, visiting our daughter who's studying there. We are looking forward to the holiday and I'm looking forward to meeting all my musician friends who have moved to Australia. It'll be nice meeting them after all these years and I hope to sing with them when there. Guilty is in Melbourne and I will definitely visit him and hopefully lead him back home to MidiMart. If any of you, from Sydney NSW, Perth, Queensland ever come to Melbourne for a gig or whatever, please let me know through the Forum .........I'll be delighted to meet you all. Oh yes, I'll be checking mail and looking into our Forum regularly. This is my first ever trip abroad and I'm excited but worried too, as I wont be able to walk around much with all the hassles I've been having, but I guess it'll be fine once there with my daughter and my friends and the friendly Australians .  |

Have a great, safe trip Shyam. I'd love to visit Australia at some point before I depart this life but at the moment it just isn't possible. We are, however, making plans this year for a trip to the US June 2009. |

Hi Everyone
I wont be going to Melbourne.
My doctor has advised me not to travel after noticing some irregularities in my heart condition. Well its sad but I guess its best to be careful. We in India are truly blessed with some of the best Medical Services in the World and my family doctor, a renowned Cardiologist is really like family and comes home to check me up for free. Medical care is more affordable here than anywhere else and I wouldnt like to be a burden on anyone while abroad.
My daughter will be coming here to see me, so I guess its not too bad and I shouldnt feel too depressed.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks Shyam for letting us know. Sorry to learn about your heart condition, I imagine you must feel disappointed not to be well enough to travel to Melbourne, but as you say yourself it's best to be careful. If this means we get to see more of you on the forum then there's at least one good thing about this news |

Hi shyam i`m sure your a little disappointed but as a fellow heart sufferer myself it`s better to err on the side of caution i`m sure you`ll have as much of a good time when your daughter comes to see you at home and as Pat has said if it means that we get to see and hear more from you then thats definately our gain.

Thank you guys for all your love . I dont really think I'm too disappointed and I might say I'm a bit relieved ! My daughter will come home and be with us even though it'll be a short stay and I think I'll be quite comfortable doing all the routine stuff and going for my weekly gigs and just being home Good friends like you are all the company I need and I know I'll be content.
