The following concerns were noted by members on another part of the forum but I have moved them here to this more convenient location.

With regards lost posts:
Occasionally posts are removed for very legitimate reasons.
Some are removed because they contain either foul or offensive language and intended to be deliberately disruptive. Others are deleted because they contained copyrighted Midi files, etc.
Now and again [but not very often] whole thread will be deleted. This is either to create more space, or because it has simply outlived its usefulness and is no longer of any value to the forum.
Things is when these threads are removed all the posts on there are also deleted; the good, the bad, and the ugly, all thrown out together.
This is known as PRUNING.
Now and again members will delete their own posts. But it is worrying for us as administrators and moderators when we learn that post have vanished without any explanation.
When we receive news that posts has disappeared we try our best to find out why this is the case, most of the time there is an explanation, as described above, but sometimes there is no apparent reason and when this happens we are too at a loss as to the reasons why.
Log-in Problems
There are various reasons why some of us experience occasional difficulty logging on/signing-in to the forum. But the main one is often more of a server problem than a forum one, and waiting awhile before trying again usually does the trick.
If non of the above explanations help in your situation give me some more specifics and we will have a more extensive look.

Hi all
To join in if I may. Yes, one of your own posts to me disappeared if you remember, Pat, on my first try at getting a song up and running. The date was Sept 22. You corrected my feeble attempts and then your post just vanished. It's not an issue; I just thought at the time that it was an odd occurence.
All day today, I've not been able to get onto the forum - don't know why, it just wouldn't open, but I've just come on now for six hours and it opened, no trouble. I even emailed Glenn earlier and asked if the forum had broken down or something. I think it's a probably a case of "These things are sent to try us." It's maddening though, when all the other sites work - even the midifiles section of this site - but you can't get onto the forum...it's my fix for the day.
Regards
Bri
