Hello everyone, isn't it great to see the AFL back for another season. So far 2 weeks in not much has changed from last season, in that Geelong look miles ahead of all of the other teams. The Hawks and the Saints should challenge their position at the top, while I hope that my team the Kangaroos (North Melbourne) can make the finals again in 2008. Melbourne look like they're already tanking to get the 1st draft pick for next season! I hope that everyone is well, and I'll talk again soon, Big Steve. ;D

G'day Pat, thanks for your kind welcome back Another round of AFL has come & gone, and a few surprises shook things up a bit. The Doggies showed that they could be a challenger by coming from 6 goals down at quarter time, to beat the more fancied Saints by 6 goals ;D The Hawks also came from behind, and overcame injuries to beat the Roos The Eagles look to be in some bother, dropping their 2nd match in a row to the Dockers. Port look to be in greater bother, as they still haven't won a game yet. It was good to see Fev get off the piss, and kick 8 goals in a losing side. The Bombers look like they will be O.K. Let's hope round 4 has just as many thrills as the previous rounds. Talk again soon, Big Steve.

Hello again, and what a week of upsets Richmond & Carlton have both come out of nowhere to have great victories against Fremantle & Collingwood respectively ;D Brisbane also came from behind like a steam train to overrun Port , who are now in strife. If Port don't find some hardness from within, they won't beat anyone. Most of the other games played out as anticipated, with Essendon giving the Bulldogs a big fright, but injuries took their toll near the end of the match and the Doggies steadied to win. The Cats & the Hawks look to be the two best teams by far at this stage Feel free to reply or comment, as I just think that I'm an expert ;D Talk again soon, Big Steve.

Hello again, another round of AFL has been completed and we have witnessed the first draw of the season Richmond surprised everyone by leading the Bulldogs by 3 goals late in the game, and were devastated by a late come back which resulted in a tied match. The Kangaroos fought back from a last quarter deficit to beat the Magpies in a great match. ;D The Hawks confirmed that they are the most likely side to challenge Geelong, by traveling to Brisbane and defeating the Lions in another great contest. Port Adelaide finally had a win over West Coast. Port should continue to improve, but the Eagles look like they will struggle for a while yet. The Blues continued their improvement with a good win over the hapless Demons. The Saints defeated the Bombers as expected, while the Swans gave Geelong a fright before being blown away by the Cats in the last quarter. Have a good week everyone, Big Steve.

G'day everyone, here's a wrap on another eventful round of AFL ;D The Kangaroos & Swans played a draw, which was controversial because the Swans had an extra man on the ground for 30 seconds, during which time they scored to tie the match The Swans were fined $50,000- but didn't lose any points. The Cats fought back from 7 goals down to beat the luckless Dockers by a point, while the Hawks battled to beat an improved Richmond team by 2 goals. These 2 teams remain unbeaten, as do the Bulldogs, who crushed West Coast by 10 goals Collingwood bounced back with a big win over the Bombers, who are feeling the burden of having many injured players out. Most of the other games went as expected, with the other big news the suspensions to Daniel Kerr & Josh Carr for a head-butt & Kneeing respectively. It was good to see these two blokes get rubbed out for some nasty stuff Talk again next week, Big Steve.

G'day everyone, this weeks AFL matches were, for a change reasonably predictable affairs. The two main exceptions to this were Melbourne coming from over 50 points down to over run the hapless Dockers, and St Kilda falling over the line against the unlucky Tigers. Most people would've expected the Saints to easily take care of the Tigers, but this wasn't the case There is only one match this weekend, and it's a celebration of 150 years of AFL ;D The Victorian team takes on the All Stars (the rest of Australia ) in a special exhibition game, similar to a Friendly in soccer. It promises to be an exciting game, and I look forward to seeing it. Have a great week, Catch up soon, Big Steve ;D

G'day everyone, here is this weeks rundown on the AFL action ;D Again Fremantle snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, this time against the Bulldogs. At least this time they were only 3 goals up before they fell in a heap Most of this weeks matches went as expected. Sydney smashed the Bombers, Adelaide belted the Demons, North just got over the line against the Eagles, Geelong comfortably defeated the Tigers, the Hawks came from behind to overrun the Power, the Magpies overcame the Saints & the Lions beat the Blues. St Kilda look to be in trouble, as much was expected of them this season, and they have produced very little. Essendon look as if they won't win another match for the season, and Melbourne doesn't look much better. At least Fremantle are competitive, but they just can't get over the line and win. Catch you next week, Big Steve.
