Wow - what a whitewash. 36 - 0 against South Africa last night. We watched the game at our local sports club in Pretoria.... in the end, just hoping that England would get off the board. One of the SA supporters was spouting a statistic that there has not previously been a RWC game where one side failed to score a single point. Can anyone corroborate this? Have to turn my full attention to the T20, I think....

Yes, it was a pretty dismal performance by the English by all accounts. Didn't watch the match but hear SA was all over them like a rash. I also heard England was lucky not to lose by more. Is this the end of it now for them, or is there still some mathematical chance they can still get through to the next stage? SA & NZ in final

Tubbs, that would be the ideal final but if we are to go by Ireland's last match the chances seem pretty remote. Mind you, you can never underestimate the Irish

The groups are still quite open at this stage, but your prediction is probably not far off the mark. It would be nice to see the cup in the northern hemisphere, though....

Ireland take of France Friday. Hopefully they will up their game and do what we know they can. But France will also be out to prove their recent dismal performance was not the rigour.
