Two words..........Adam Gilchrist.
He's been a bit out of form but what a match to remind us all how good he is. He was the difference between the 2 teams and single-handedly won the World Cup for Australia.

Yeah, Guilty. Agree. Gilly was outstanding. I am delighted he had an an opportunity to finally show his talents before the whole event finished. Come the occasion, come the man. Brilliant stuff.
It is a shame the umpires went a little crazy with 3 overs to go - how stupid to try and bring the two teams back the next day for the remaining overs. Madness. I expect more from such experienced officials and if it were up to me they'd never be allowed to officiate at such a level again. I'm serious.

G'day everyone, I agree wholeheartedly with Pat & Guilty. Gilly showed why he is the most feared batsman in world cricket, and the officials must've been on drugs to want to play in the dark  Best wishes to Pigeon McGrath and his family, he went out on top. |
