desktop shortcut

Hi Paul
I'm looking for your help once again.When i click on some of my desk top icons,i get a box saying "short cut access denied"
They work OK if i go into the start up menu.
Is there a simple way to sort this out?
I'm using windows xp

its possible that the links need updating to point to the .exe

you should look into that

its also possible you are using a limited account and trying to run software installed my someone else
