Hi Paul. Hope you can help. When i try to burn a cd in windows media player,a box comes up saying"insert a blank cd in cd drive and try again" I've checked and double checked that the cd is blank and i'm in the correct drive, but no luck. The box keeps popping up. I've used this in the past with no problems. I'm using windows xp. Thanks for any help Regards Eddie(weeo)

Your not on your own here weeo.
I and many of my friends have got this problem, we all use media player 11 and have xp installed.
I think it's a problem with one of the media player updates, hopefully another one, with a correction will be published asap.....
Hang tight m8....

Same here oldsage, i had problems with media 11 so i just reverted back to the previous one, just remove 11 from the system and it will go back to the last one installed.

the problem is around Roxio's burning engine and the base code of WMP11.
it was intended for use with vista, and there are bound to be a few bugs in the pot,
my recommendation is to either revert back to WMP10, or use a good CD burning software. there are millions of them freeware, so just do a google search and i'm confident you will come up with a good un'
