i have the x-fi extreme music card, and have never had any problems, apart from having to adjust the volume output which kept resetting itself to max.does this card have the same configuration as the other cards? steve

it,s funny but my card does n,t give those problems,i also have zone alarm version7,which people say slow it down,it doesn,t on mine,i have all the things that go wrong on other systems, but not on mine?.one thing crops up in my mind,i also have dotnet 1and 2 installed which also lets me emulate the vista aero on my pc.could this dotnet alter things that much?.also my operating system is a slipstreamed version i created, due to the original which was oem stopped working when my board fried.and i objected to having to fork out for another operating system.so the original xp pro was slipstreamed with sp2,and other goodies.and made a new disc from the i386 file iso.now nothing goes wrong. steve

I too have an X-Fi and have no problems. And my computer is loaded down something fierce.

I replaced my Audigy with an X-Fi and my stability issues subsided ( only get 1 BSOD every hour now:) ) Warren
