Can anyone recommend a bass amp combo that is relatively light weight but still loud enough to use in a band with live drums and guitars.

i recommend a Line6 Lowdown incredible amp with loads of pro features like cab modelling and XLR outputs they come in many wattages up to 300W line6.com/lowdown/check them out |

Thanks Paul. I checked out the link as you suggested and liked everything about it, especially the price. Problem is the 89 pounds. I guess what I,m looking for doesn't exist, i.e. less than say 60 pounds and loud.

Perhaps you should have a search around for one of the older Peavey Bass Amps!
A lot of Pro's use them!
